Colours  For  Your  Home  Décor

Colours  for  your  home  décor  play  an  important  role  in  your  life. They  create  many  effects  on  our  minds  as  they  can  cheer  us, make  us  feel  safe,  calm,  relaxed  and  help  us  to  remember  pleasant  memories.

There  are  three  primary  colours:  yellow,  red,  and  blue.  When  you  combine  these  primary  colors  together, you  get  the  secondary  colors  such  as  yellow  and  red  is  orange  and  blue  and red  is  purple. When  you  mix  the  primary  colours  with  secondary  ones  you  get  different  color  shades  which  are  called  tertiary  colours.

We  must  select  the  colours  very  carefully  in  our  home  décor  to  get  the  desired  effects  as  we  are  the  ones who  live  in  the  house.

The  blue  color  is  excellent  for  bedrooms  and  it  creates  a  cool  and  clear  look.  A  light  shade  of  blue  color  is used  to  design  the  interior  space  to  enlarge  the  room.  You  can  choose  from  grey-blue  to  neutral  blue  hue that  suits  your  room.

When  you  use  soft  shades  of  blue  color  for  ceiling  it  gives  the  effect  of  cool,  soothing  and  heavenly. But  the dark  color  gives  the  illusion  of  the  ceiling  advancing  and  provide  a  dramatic  backdrop.

Red  Colour

Red Colour

Red  is  a  color  of  romance,  passion,  threat  etc. It  gives  a  resonant  and  stimulating  aspect  for  your  rooms. A room  with  much  red  can  increase  the  level  of  passion. The  Red  color  is  known  to  increase  appetite  and therefore  so  many  restaurants  have  red  walls  and  are  widely  used  in  home’s  kitchens. Red  ceilings  look  very weighty  but  red  walls  look  energetic.

Red  is  predominantly  used  as  an  accent  color, but  now  there  seems  to  be  a  more  of  a  trend  using  this color  on  walls  to  make  a  room  warm  and  inviting.
